MEGAN JONES IS
Building a
Better Iowa
Meet Megan
Megan Jones proudly represents Iowa House District 6 in the Iowa House of Representatives, where she has served since 2013. As a Northwest Iowan, Megan brings a strong voice for rural communities and the hardworking families who make Clay and Buena Vista Counties home.
A Spencer native, Megan graduated from Spencer High School before attending Drake University, where she earned her degree in Law, Politics & Society. She went on to receive her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law and was admitted to the Iowa Bar. Megan now serves her community as a prosecutor, working every day to uphold the law and strengthen public safety.
In 2014, Megan married her husband, Will Jones, of Sioux Rapids. Together, they’re raising their five children on Will’s family farm in southern Clay County. It's an active, multigenerational farm that keeps the Jones household grounded in the values of hard work, faith, and service.
Deeply committed to giving back, Megan is active in local organizations including the Kiwanis Daybreakers and the Keep Iowa Beautiful Board. Whether she’s volunteering in her community, advocating for rural Iowa, or cheering from the sidelines at a kids’ activity, Megan is proud to call House District 6 home and honored to represent the people who make it such an extraordinary place to live.
